Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites function effectively, remember your preferences, and provide information to the website operator about how visitors use the site.

Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot install software on your device. They are specific to the browser and device you use, and most expire either when you close your browser or after a set period.

2. How Sila Accord Uses Cookies

We use cookies on our website (sila-accord.info) for the following purposes:

  • To ensure the website loads and functions correctly for all visitors.
  • To remember your cookie consent preferences so we do not ask you repeatedly.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how visitors navigate our pages — which helps us improve the site over time.
  • To measure the effectiveness of any marketing activity we may conduct, if applicable.

We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal information, to build advertising profiles for sale to third parties, or to track individuals across unrelated websites.

3. Cookie Categories

We classify cookies into the following categories, consistent with the guidance of Thailand's Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) and standard international practice:

Essential

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function. They enable core features such as page navigation, form submission security, and your consent preference record. The website cannot work properly without them.

Consent required: No — these are active by default under legitimate interest and technical necessity.

Analytics

Performance & Analytics Cookies

These cookies collect information about how visitors interact with our website — such as which pages are visited most often, how long visitors spend on each page, and whether any error messages are encountered. Data is aggregated and does not identify individual users.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) for this purpose. Google Analytics uses its own cookies and transmits aggregated usage data to Google's servers. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Consent required: Yes — activated only if you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner.

Marketing

Marketing & Tracking Cookies

These cookies may be set by advertising platforms we work with to measure ad performance. They help us understand whether visitors arrived via a particular marketing channel and whether they took a meaningful action on the site afterward.

Platforms that may set these cookies include Meta (Facebook Pixel) and Microsoft Advertising (Bing UET tag). Each platform operates under its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

Consent required: Yes — activated only if you accept marketing cookies in the consent banner.

Functional

Functional Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as your language preference or any settings you have adjusted. They are not strictly necessary but contribute to a more comfortable browsing experience.

Consent required: Yes — activated if you accept functional cookies in the consent banner.

4. Cookies We Currently Use

The table below lists the cookies currently in use on this website. Note that third-party cookies are controlled by their respective providers and may be updated outside our control.

This list reflects cookies currently deployed. Cookies set by embedded third-party content (such as maps or video) may also be present. We review this list periodically and update it when cookies change.

5. First-Party vs. Third-Party Cookies

First-party cookies are set directly by Sila Accord's website. Third-party cookies are set by external services — such as Google, Meta, and Microsoft — that we integrate for analytics and marketing measurement purposes. Each third party operates under its own privacy and data protection policies.

We encourage you to review the policies of these providers if you wish to understand how they process data associated with their cookies:

6. Your Consent and How We Obtain It

When you visit our website for the first time, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page. You may:

  • Accept all cookies: Allows all cookie categories — essential, analytics, marketing, and functional — to be set.
  • Accept essential only: Only strictly necessary cookies are set. Analytics and marketing cookies remain inactive.

Your preference is stored in the sila_cookie_consent cookie and remains active for 365 days. If you take no action and close the banner, only essential cookies will be active.

Under Thailand's PDPA and ETDA guidance on web cookies, consent for non-essential cookies must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. We do not gate access to website content on cookie acceptance.

7. Managing and Withdrawing Consent

You may change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time by the following methods:

  • Clear browser cookies: Deleting all cookies from your browser will remove the stored consent record. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or alert you when a cookie is about to be set. Blocking essential cookies may affect website functionality. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions.
  • Opt-out tools: You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time via Google's opt-out browser add-on. For Meta and Microsoft, opt-outs are available through the Your Online Choices platform.

Please note that withdrawing consent for analytics or marketing cookies does not affect the lawfulness of any data processing that occurred before withdrawal.

8. Cookies and Personal Data

Some cookies — particularly analytics and marketing cookies — may collect data that, in combination with other information, could identify an individual. Where this is the case, such processing falls within the scope of our Privacy Policy, which sets out in detail how personal data is handled, what rights you have, and how to exercise them.

9. Session Cookies vs. Persistent Cookies

Session cookies are temporary files that are deleted when you close your browser. They typically support active browsing functions and do not persist beyond your visit.

Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire (based on a preset duration) or until you delete them manually. They allow websites and third-party services to recognise returning visitors and maintain preferences across separate visits.

The expiry durations for each cookie we use are listed in the table in Section 4 above.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that signals to websites that you prefer not to be tracked. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and our third-party analytics tools (including Google Analytics) do not alter their behavior based on DNT headers. If you wish to prevent tracking, we recommend using the opt-out tools listed in Section 7.

11. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes to applicable regulations, or updates to third-party integrations. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We recommend reviewing this page occasionally to stay informed.
